Never substitute a high SPF for common sense safe sun habits. Re-apply your sunscreen every 4 hours and always right after you get out of the water.

Protect children from sun exposure. Be sure to play in the shade, use protective clothing, and apply sunscreen.

Use extra caution near water, snow, and sand because they reflect and intensify the damaging rays of the sun, which can increase your chances of sunburn.

Many medications can make you more susceptible to sun exposure. Check your medication handouts from your pharmacist.

Don’t smoke. Smokers have 3 times the risk of developing Squamous Cell carcinoma than non-smokers.
