CoolTouch
Thermal Detection
A
temperature sensor is incorporated into the CoolTouch Laser handpiece
to measure surface skin temperature in order to select the appropriate
fluence which will provide the optimum clinical results. Fluence must
be adjusted in the CoolTouch Laser for every treatment based on the
starting surface temperature of the area being treated.
CoolTouch
Cooling
The
CoolTouch Laser handpiece provides cooling by delivering an application
of cryogen, carried on board in a disposable container, to the treatment
site. This cooling by the CoolTouch Laser protects the epidermis and
provides a soothing analgesic effect for the patient. Delivery of cooling
by the CoolTouch Laser may occur either before the laser fires (pre-cooling)
or after the laser fires.
