New Avage (TAZOROTENE) Cream, 0.1%
AVAGE
(TAZAROTENE) Cream 0.1% is an elegant formulation that has been proven
effective in clinical studies when used as part of a comprehensive skin
care and sunlight avoidance program including sunscreens, moisturizers,
and protective clothing. These studies show that AVAGE Cream effectively
reduces facial fine wrinkles and certain types of dark and light spots
on your face. Although scientists do not know how AVAGE Cream works,
they believe that AVAGE Cream works below the skin's surface to give
you proven visible results.
What
is AVAGE Cream?
AVAGE
Cream is a prescription medicine that may reduce fine facial wrinkles
and certain types of dark and light spots on your face.
AVAGE Cream is for patients who are using a total skin care program
and avoiding sunlight. AVAGE Cream does not remove
wrinkles,
repair sun-damaged skin, reverse skin aging from the sun (photo aging),
or bring back more youthful or younger skin. AVAGE Cream does not work
for everyone who uses it. AVAGE Cream may work better for some patients
than for others. The active ingredient in AVAGE Cream is tazarotene.
How
to use
AVAGE
1.
WASH your face gently before applying AVAGE Cream with a mild cleanser
and allow it to dry.
2.
APPLY a pea-size amount of AVAGE Cream to lightly cover the fine

Additional
tips for success with AVAGE Cream
Use
a moisturizer before or after applying AVAGE cream. Just be sure your
skin is dry before applying AVAGE cream as well. Try to limit your sun
exposure, wear protective clothing, and use an SPF 15 sunscreen during
outside activities. Be aware that astringents, medicated or abrasive
soaps and shampoos, and permanent wave solutions may have strong drying
or irritating effects. Avoid depilatories, waxes, electrolysis, and
other products or processes that might dry or irritate your skin. Try
to protect your face from extreme wind or cold. Tell your doctor if
side effects become problems. Your doctor may adjust your dose of AVAGE
Cream. However, the effectiveness of AVAGE Cream when used less than
that once a day has not been proven.
What
should I
look for?
Look at
yourself in the mirror to see if you have some of the following common
symptoms:
>
Fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes
(crow's feet), mouth, and on your cheeks -- caused by loss of your skin's
elasticity.
>Spotty
discoloration (mottled hyperpigmentation), areas of lighter skin (mottled
hypopigmentation). or smaller dark spots (lentigines) that
can appear across the face. these are indications of too much or too
little melanin, a brown pigment that naturally
occurs in your skin.

effects of
